Liao Lab at the ribbon cutting event for Whitney’s new building
Liao Lab members hosted an interactive introduction station at the ribbon-cutting event for the new Whitney Laboratory building, where they welcomed visitors and shared insights into the lab’s research. Through engaging demonstrations and conversations, lab members introduced attendees to the fish-biomechanics work being conducted at Whitney Lab and highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation within the research community.

James Liao: JEB TOP 100 BIOLOGIST
James Liao, who was awarded the 2024 Ig Nobel Prize in Physics for his 2004 JEB study, was chosen as one of the top 100 biologist for his contributions to Biomechanics, Energetcis and Ecology in Locomotion by the Journal of Experimental Biology.

Georgia tech undergraduates and liao lab develop an exoskeleton for fish
